I have a friend who has some health issues. When my friend moved house, she asked me to be her emergency contact for the guarantee company, which I agreed to do. We were usually in touch quite frequently, but one day I couldn't get hold of her at all. Imagining the worst?that she had collapsed in her apartment?I decided to go to her apartment building to see if she was OK. Unfortunately, however, I didn't know where she lived or how to contact the real estate company managing her apartment, so as a last resort I decided to call JID. The JID operator was very kind and after listening to my story, she gave me the number of the real estate company. I was then able to go to my friend's place and check up on her. I also know that JID contacted the real estate company ahead of me, so I am very grateful to JID for their prompt and considerate response.

One major problem I had when I first came to Japan was that no one would rent me an apartment. I had just arrived in Japan and didn't know many people, so when I told the real estate company that I couldn't provide a joint guarantor, they refused to rent me an apartment. Because I didn't have anywhere to stay, I ended up spending several nights in a 24-hour Internet cafe while I went around different real estate companies. The fifth company told me about the JID rental guarantee system. I was able to use this system to rent an apartment without needing to provide a joint guarantor. If any of my friends find themselves in this situation, I will definitely tell them about JID.

I've been using JID for two years. I had never been late with my rent or anything like that and had been living without any problems in my apartment. One day, I was thinking that it must be nearly time to renew my lease, but I hadn't heard anything from the real estate company. Feeling a little worried, I pulled out my lease contract and found that I was right?in fact the renewal was overdue! I called the real estate company, but I got a recorded message saying that the number was no longer in use. This meant that I had no way to contact the real estate company and renew my lease. I was worried that I would be evicted from my apartment for failing to renew my lease. In the end, I found the contact for JID on the rental guarantor service contract that I had stored along with my lease contract, and called them. JID then contacted the landlord of my building and I was able to renew my lease without a problem. I could continue living in this apartment thanks to JID.
